Ajman: Al-Nuaimi family tree

The ruling Al-Nuaimi family of Ajman have a long history. From the Quratsah family from the Al Bu Khuraiban section of the great Al-Na’im tribe – which was spread between Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain. Their rule started with Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid, who ruled from the early 19th century until his death in 1938, aged 68. He signed a peace treaty with Britain in 1820.
