Bahrain: Deena Bint Rashid's Supreme Council for Women role

Sheikha Deena Bint Rashid Al-Khalifa has been appointed assistant secretary general at the Supreme Council for Women with the rank of undersecretary, via a royal order issued by King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa on 29 July. The appointment was made based on a recommendation by Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, SCW president and wife of King Hamad. The SCW was set up in 2001. Sheikha Deena has been active at the organisation for some time, serving as director general of policies and development.
