Iran: Tehran seeks to limit talks with US and GCC

Iranian officials have been seeking to ensure that Arab neighbours are not directly involved in any negotiations over the United States rejoining the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal, once President-elect Joe Biden takes office on 20 January. On 8 December, government spokesman Ali Rabiei said there was no need for a renegotiation of the JCPOA and “no new members” were needed.
