Iran/Oman: Deep-water pipeline talks

Senior officials from National Iranian Gas Export Company and the Omani Ministry of Petroleum met representatives of Royal Dutch Shell, France’s Total and Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) on 14 November to discuss Iran’s planned gas export pipeline to Oman, Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported. UAE opposition to the pipeline means it will have to go via a deep water route, which will require the oil majors’ expertise.
