Crown Prince and prime minister Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa travelled to Riyadh on 8 March for meetings with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS). Analysts said this could be viewed as an implicit retort to recent speculation that Manama was moving closer into alignment with the UAE while links with Riyadh were being loosened.
