UAE: Sheikh Talib wins property dispute pay-out

A British High Court judge has awarded damages of £683,000 and costs of £87,000 to Sheikh Talib Bin Saqr Al-Qassimi in a case he brought against a UK-based builder who defrauded him and failed to complete work at a pair of properties in London and Milton Keynes. Sheikh Talib, brother of Emir Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, is a Sandhurst graduate who is also head of the RAK police and a member of the emirate’s executive council.
