Umm Al-Quwain family tree

Umm Al-Quwain (UAQ)’s ruling Al-Mualla family come from the important Al-Ali tribe, who make up a large percentage of residents in the emirate. The Al-Ali had a long history of trading and close relations with coastal Persia, where many of the tribe were based. One of the family’s earliest rulers was Abdullah Bin Rashid in the early 19th century.
