Khalid Bin Salman – the new US ambassador arrived in Washington in mid-July. Born 1988, a full brother of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS), Khalid graduated from pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base in the US in 2009 and flew F-15s during his career, based at the King Abdelaziz Air Base in Dhahran. He has studied at Harvard, and Paris and was pursuing a masters course at Georgetown University until his studies were suspended because of the appointment.
