Qatar is to become the first Arab country in the US Visa Waiver Programme from December, while the UAE has signed up to the US Global Entry Programme.
Agreements on greater defence and technology co-operation were the main takeaways from President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan (MBZ)’s visit to the White House in September, the first by a sitting UAE head of state.
