Iran: New President Raisi names hardline cabinet

President Ebrahim Raisi submitted his proposed cabinet to the Majlis-e Shura-ye Eslami (parliament) for approval on 11 August, well within the two-week deadline following his inauguration on 5 August. Majlis-e Shura members quickly approved all but one of the names: Hossein Baghgoli was rejected as education minister due to a lack of experience.
