King Salman: Turkey trip

King Salman is to travel to Turkey to attend the 15-16 November G-20 summit in Antalya. According to Turkish media reports, he has booked the entire Mardan Palace Hotel for his 18-day stay. Hürriyet daily reported that the cost of booking the hotel would run to $18m; red carpets will be laid in hallways and on the helipad; hotel staff are receiving special training. Built by Russian businessman Telman Ismailov in 2009, the hotel was recently acquired by Turkish state-owned Halkbank.
