Riyadh finalises deal for three more corvettes from Spain’s Navantia

Two of the three new vessels will be completed in the kingdom and the state-owned General Authority for Military Industries (Gami) will also gain the intellectual property rights to the design, enabling Saudi Arabia to build more of the vessels in the future, including possible export orders.

Riyadh orders three more corvettes from Spain

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence has signed an agreement with its Spanish counterpart for the construction of three more Avante 2200 corvettes, in an extension of the existing Sarawat project. Read more.
