Sheikha Mayassa was born in 1983 and is the eldest daughter of former Emir (now Father Emir) Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and his second wife Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Misnad. She is currently chair of Qatar Museums, the Doha Film Institute, Reach Out to Asia and the Qatar Leadership centre.
