Bahrain seeks seat on UN rights group

Bahrain is lobbying for a seat on the UN Human Rights Council’s Advisory Committee. “I can confirm we have received a letter containing the candidature of Saeed Mohamed Al-Faihani,” council spokesman Rolando Gomez said on 5 July.
