Baghdad is considering building small nuclear reactors for research purposes, according to comments by Iraqi Radioactive Sources Regulatory Authority (IRSRA) chief Kamal Hussein Latif. Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on 24 September, he said a presidential order had been issued to form a committee to look into the issue.
