Manama seeks GCC role in Iran talks

 Bahrain has added its weight to calls from Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) states to be included in any negotiations between the United States and Iran to revive the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal. The UAE and Saudi Arabia have both called for Washington’s regional partners to be involved in any new talks, in an effort to avoid what they see as the original JCPOA deal’s shortcomings.
