Riyadh steps up engagement with Kuwait’s new leadership

The usual steady flow of senior regional and international figures has been passing through Kuwait to express condolences on the passing of the late emir and to forge a stronger relationship with the new leadership. Visitors have ranged from United States defence secretary Mark Esper to Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Kurdistan Region of Iraq President Nechirvan Barzani.
