A California appeals court has ruled that Prince Abdelaziz Bin Abdullah’s plans for a sprawling compound in the hills above Benedict Canyon must, after all, undergo an environmental review. Abdelaziz, son of the late King Abdullah and deputy minister of foreign affairs, has been trying to build an estate for years but has faced a campaign by neighbours who argue the project is illegal because it does not provide an alternative route for the arrival of emergency vehicles in the case of fire.
