Bahrain: King Hamad's healthcare award

King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa gave his annual address to mark National Day on 16 December, with a speech heavily focused on the coronavirus crisis. He announced the creation of an award named after his son, Crown Prince and prime minister Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. The Prince Salman Bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit will be awarded to doctors, nurses and other medical staff and frontline workers who have made significant contributions to the sector.
