Bahrain: Patrol boat joins fleet with controversial name

The Royal Bahrain Naval Force took delivery of patrol warship Al-Zubara from BAE Systems on 7 August, in a handover ceremony at Portsmouth Naval Base in the UK. There to watch was Bahrain’s ambassador to the UK Sheikh Fawaz Bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, military attaché at the London Embassy Brigadier General Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ruwaie and the vessel’s crew.
