Iraq: Intelligence chief nominated as PM

National Intelligence Service chief Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is the latest Iraqi tasked with trying to form a government. He was nominated by President Barham Salaih on 9 April after previous nominees Mohammed Allawi and Adnan Al-Zarfi failed to win support from parliament, following the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi in December.
