| 1 minute read
After a busy September which included a visit to Sudan (including travelling to Al-Fasher, capital of North Darfur state), a mid-month trip to London to meet new British premier Theresa May and a stay of several days in Los Angeles towards the end of the month, Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani travelled to Kazakhstan on 27 September for a hunting trip. There are rumours – repeated in The Washington Post – that the trip did not go as planned after two of the emir’s valuable saker falcons, used for hunting, died while being held in Almaty.
