Qatar: Emir Tamim-Local tour

Following several meetings in Doha – with the Lebanese maronite cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rai and UN-Arab League envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi – Emir Sheikh Tamim departed for a small regional tour (except Saudi Arabia, which he visited in the summer), arriving in Kuwait on 27 October for a one-day official visit. He held talks with Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah before heading to the lower Gulf. In Manama, he met King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Qatar-Bahrain relations have not been the easiest (GSN 747/16) but, following the meeting, Bahraini media reported that the Bahrain-Qatar causeway board of directors would meet in Doha on 30 October.
