Qatar: Khalid Bin Hamad, US Racing

A younger brother of Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Sheikh Khalid, was spotted participating in an exhibition class at the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado in late June. The sheikh, in his mid-20s, completed the course in his Porsche 918 in 11 minutes, 37 seconds. It was his first attempt at a mountain course. He told the Colorado Springs Gazette: “I just love racing.” He hopes to return next year to compete competitively with a car built for the course.
