Qatari emir’s South American tour

Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani toured a series of South American capitals in early October, starting in the Ecuadorean capital Quito, where he held talks with President Lenin Moreno on 1 October. The following day he met National Assembly members and received the key to the city from mayor Mauricio Rodas. On 2 October, Sheikh Tamim moved on to Lima, Peru, where he held talks with President Martin Vizcarra the following day and also collected a key to Lima from mayor Luis Castaneda Lossio.
