Saudi Arabia: Charges against Meshal Al-Ayban dropped

Human-trafficking charges against the wife of a Saudi royal, who was arrested in June in the United States, have been dropped. Meshael Al-Ayban (often spelled Al-Aiban) was accused of keeping a Kenyan servant in her California home against her will, forcing her to work excessive hours and paying her far less than she had promised. But a judge in a Santa Ana courtroom dismissed the charges on 20 September after prosecutors said they could not corroborate the allegations.
