Saudi Arabia: Crackdown on illegals

More than 1.5m foreign workers have changed their residence status since April, when Riyadh said it would crackdown on those who were violating labour regulations. The government said it would give expatriate workers three months to get their papers in order, before starting to enforce a rule that makes it illegal for foreigners to work for anyone other than their original sponsor.
