Saudi Arabia: @mujtahidd’s Twitter briefly suspended

Saudi Tweeter @mujtahidd, who presents himself (or herself) as a whistle-blower with inside knowledge of Saudi circles of power, had his Twitter account briefly suspended in early March. In an email to GSN, @mujtahidd – who replies readily to the email address associated with his Twitter feed but does not reveal his identity – said the account had been closed down for “almost two days”. “They [Twitter] claimed the reason for suspension was publishing a private document related to Maha Al-Sudairi ten months ago,” he wrote.
