From its creation – another product of the 1980s War of the Cities between Iran and Iraq – the Royal Saudi Strategic Rocket Force (RSSRF) has been close to China: its first missiles were DF-3 Dongfengs. However, it is widely now believed to be in the market for a third system, making soundings of several potential suppliers, including Pakistan and Ukraine.
