UAE: Dubai revamps governance once more

Federal Vice President, prime minister and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum (MBR) announced a further overhaul to Dubai’s governance structures on 23 March, at a meeting of the Dubai Council. Going forward, officials and heads of government bodies will have to sign three-year binding contracts that set out their duties and expected outcomes. The council also approved the restructuring of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the creation of a Chamber of International Trade and a Chamber of Digital Economy.
