Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi was appointed president of the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and chairperson of its board, via a decree issued by her father, Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi. Sheikh Sultan, who had held the post since the university was founded in 1997, said it was time to give the opportunity to a new generation.
