UAE: UN ambassador

The UAE has appointed its first female permanent representative to the United Nations. UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon received the credentials of ambassador Lana Nusseibeh on 18 September, according to state news agency Wam. Nusseibeh has previously held a number of positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, most recently launching the ministry’s Policy Planning Department and serving as its first director.
