UAE/Region: Ukraine taps new Gulf markets

The UAE has turned to Ukraine as a potential source of advanced military equipment. A Ministry of Defence delegation visited the east European country on 7-9 August for negotiations with senior figures from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence and National Defence and Security Council, and local defence firms, including state-owned Ukroboronprom and its director-general Roman Romanov.
