UK announces GCC free trade talks will start in 2022, lobbies protest

The Gulf Co-operation Council is to launch formal negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA) with the United Kingdom in 2022, according to an 8 October British government statement. The GCC negotiating team will be led by Saudi Arabia’s Abdulraham Ahmed Al-Harbi.
