Role: Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Abu Dhabi Executive Council chairman

Born in 1982, Khalid Bin Mohammed graduated from Arizona State University and gained a master’s degree from Georgetown School of Foreign Studies in the United States.

He was appointed as crown prince of Abu Dhabi by his father, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan (MBZ), in March 2023.

Lacking the military and security experience of his father, or the economic heft of his powerful uncles Sheikhs Tahnoun and Mansour, Khalid Bin Mohammed has been working hard to establish his authority.
