Vahidi has had a diverse career in the military and politics. He began as a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC), eventually rising to become commander of its elite Quds Force. He has held several positions in the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics and since 2021 has served as interior minister

United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, European Union, South Korea, United Nations, Argentina, Monaco, Canada. Wanted by Interpol for involvement in the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association.
